Job Title: Executive Director

Location: Grande Prairie, AB

Foundations for Life is a non profit organization dedicated to Encouraging, Equipping, and Empowering Students and community.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Executive Director to lead our organization to new heights. The Executive Director will be responsible for establishing organizational objectives, formulating policies and programs, allocating resources, and representing the organization in negotiations and official functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Establish objectives for the organization and formulate or approve policies and programs to achieve these objectives.

Authorize and organize the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions.

Allocate material, human, and financial resources to implement organizational policies and programs.

Establish financial and administrative controls to ensure effective resource management.

Formulate and approve promotional campaigns to raise awareness of the organization's mission and activities.

Select middle managers, directors, or other executive staff to lead various departments and functions.

Coordinate the work of regions, divisions, or departments to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Represent the organization in negotiations or other official functions, or delegate representatives to act on behalf of the organization.

Qualifications/Skills:

Doctorate or Master's degree in Social Science; Doctorate's degree preferred.

Senior management experience in similar industry or field, with 2 years in a leadership role.

Proven track record of communication, strategic planning, policy development, and resource allocation.

Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.

Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve organizational goals.

Experience representing an organization in negotiations or official functions is preferred.
